The coronavirus pandemic undeniably and irreversibly changed the lives of people all over the world. Millions of people were suddenly trying to cope with the loss of a loved one. The livelihoods of many were threatened by redundancies. And for some, contracting the virus led to trauma and prolonged symptoms.<\/p>
Regardless of circumstance or location, it was clear that we were all trying to recover from the collective trauma of Covid-19 and that support could be hard to find.<\/p>
From the very beginning, covid:aid was about creating a community where people could be heard. Offering information and signposting support for a range of issues relating to Covid-19 and its knock-on effects, we wanted to provide a safe space where people could find the support they need and begin to heal.<\/p>
Hundreds are still dying. Hundreds of thousands are affected by Long Covid, yet there is little to no recognition in many public spheres now that restrictions have been eased.<\/p>
